The STIHL HLA 140 K battery-powered extended-reach hedge trimmer, part of the STIHL ALLPRO System, provides professional landscapers and grounds maintenance crews with powerful, efficient hedge trimming performance. Lightweight and designed for low-noise, low-vibration operation, the HLA 140 K is built to handle demanding trimming tasks while maximizing operator comfort. Its shorter shaft (K) design and articulating cutter bar make it especially well suited for maintaining tall hedges, shrubs, and other landscape features during extended work periods.
WIth two cutter bar options, a 145° and 0°, this hedge trimmer gives professionals the options to fit thier daily workload. With an overall length of approximately 86 inches (7.2 ft.), both HLA 140 Ks offer excellent maneuverability while still providing the reach needed for overhead, side, and ground-level cutting. The cutter bar for the HLA 140 (145°) adjusts through 145°, allowing operators to work comfortably from a variety of angles. While the HLA (0°) gives a fixed option to power through for quick maintenance work. The exceptionally quiet motor makes it suitable for use in noise-sensitive environments such as residential neighborhoods, often without the need for hearing protection.
The durable brushless motor delivers impressive cutting power with minimal vibration. Operation is simple and intuitive thanks to the ergonomic control handle and digital operating interface, which is ready for retrofitting with a STIHL Smart Connector. Three adjustable speed settings allow users to match performance to the application for faster, more efficient trimming.
The HLA 140 K features double-sided, low-friction universal blades and a 24-inch cutting bar, providing excellent cutting performance while helping maximize battery runtime.
For extended use, a shoulder strap can be attached to the carrying ring on the shaft, improving comfort and reducing fatigue throughout the workday. To help keep the battery from contacting the ground during operation, the HLA 140 K can also be equipped with the optional STIHL protective base for the HTA 135 and HLA 135.
All cordless power tools in the STIHL ALLPRO System are engineered for professional applications and everyday use, even in challenging weather conditions. These tools are certified as splash-resistant, with protection verified through rigorous internal testing, including testing aligned with the IPX4 water-resistance standard.
Note: STIHL AP System tools are compatible with both ALLPRO batteries and STIHL AP batteries.
