HTA 140 battery pole pruner: high output and efficiency for professional tree and pruning

The lightweight yet rugged STIHL HTA 140 is designed for professional arborists, orchard managers, property maintenance crews, and municipal users. It is ideal for limbing trees, removing dead or storm-damaged branches, pruning fruit trees, and maintaining landscapes with mature trees. The HTA 140 is also well suited for farms, estate maintenance, and demanding residential property care.

The HTA 140 features an optimized, highly rigid professional telescoping shaft that allows quick length adjustments and precise positioning for accurate cutting at height. The telescoping shaft extends from approximately 112 inches to 159 inches (9.3 to 13.3 ft.). This extended reach allows operators to perform crown-thinning and pruning work at heights of up to approximately 16.5 feet without leaving the ground.

The HTA 140 is compatible with both 3/8" PICCO and 1/4" PICCO STIHL saw chains, allowing users to choose between faster limbing performance or finer, cleaner cuts for precision tree care.

A lightweight magnesium gearbox with an integrated, heavy-duty branch hook works together with the high-performance brushless motor to provide powerful cutting performance with low vibration and quiet operation. The ergonomic multi-function control handle with digital operating interface simplifies operation and is ready for retrofitting with a STIHL Smart Connector. A variable-speed trigger offers excellent cutting control, while the electronic unlock function remains active for 5 seconds, reducing unnecessary interruptions when changing grip positions during operation.

The easy-to-clean air filter helps maintain optimal motor cooling, supporting long service life and reliable performance. For added durability, the HTA 140 comes standard with the STIHL protective base designed for the HTA 135 and HLA 135, helping protect the motor housing and battery from ground contact during use.

The STIHL HTA 140 is IPX4-rated, providing splash-resistant protection when exposed to wet weather.

MAKES FILL-LEVEL MONITORING EASY. With the transparent oil tank, you can easily and quickly check the fill level of the chain oil. This means that you always know when you need to add chain oil for efficient work over long periods.
OPTIMAL ENGINE COOLING. The air filter with fine metal mesh cleans the air and in this way ensures optimum engine cooling. As it is itself easy to clean, it also offers a long service life.
